| Normally with "open hole" surveys
the diameter of the
centralizers, which are required to ensure that the survey train does
not sag or sit lop-sided in the hole are 13mm or 1/2 inch smaller in
diameter than the hole itself.
Having said that, some attention should
be paid to the integrity of the rocks penetrated by the bore-hole. Rock
fragments can wedge the survey train at a depth making the retrieval
difficult. |
